A Jack would not beat a Queen. A Queen card is higher than a Jack.
Ace of spades beats everything: Joker = 14: King = 13: Queen = 12: Jack .. Players do not look at their cards, but keep them in a packet face.
However the cards DO rank from lowest card to the highest card and the ranking is So, a 4, 7, 9, Jack and Queen, all hearts, would beat an Ace high straight.
I use Hearts High -Diamonds-Clubs-Spades low. With this rule comes two very similar variations. A double war is treated as another war. When pairs and any other "bad" hands are not present, then the winner is the one whose highest card is lowest. You shuffle the deck and you just "throw" the cards on the floor [all cards should be face down] now you randomly pick a card from the pile, your does a jack beat a queen
also randomly picks a card from the pile, and whoever has the higher card wins. The player has some more possibility's other than buy and stay. The five card draw strategy
thing is to find out the probabilities of what would be if.
